I've been MIA for... I don't know, 3 months?
Updates from Doria:
May
1. Went to Penang for National Pioneer Camp. Nice beach, nice people, great camp.
2. Spent time with a friend who happened to be a colleague in my Exec Board. We traveled down to KL on a bus together and even discovered that our relatives lived a stone's throw away from each other. We became close friends ever since, which is a good thing for me.
3. Bought a pair of suit for formal occasions. Spent a fortune on that suit: a month's worth of pocket money.
4. Visited Bookfest. It's a book fair at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Big book fair, bought some cool books... Finally got my hands on 'Freakonomics'!!!
June
1. Network meet with Accenture. Since then, I've dreamt of working in Accenture until now.
2. Attended National Convention. A planning meet for all Exec Board members. 5 days 4 nights of brain squashing and party.
3. Attended Local Committee Planning Meet. Held in my own campus, this is yet another brain squashing session to plan for my department, External Relations.
4. Things get a wee bit personal... Some emotional turmoil every now and then, because not everything is perfect, and not everything is as beautiful as it seems.
5. Met new friends from 5 countries: Netherlands, Japan, Hong Kong [it's a country?!!!], Egypt, South Korea. More diversity in my life.
July
1. Attended National Ambassadors Camp. Port Dickson, yet another conference by the beach. Nice beach, nice conference... I was in a cross - dressing party!
2. Got into my new room at the dorm. I have a SINGLE room! Of course, it's twice as expensive as shared room, but then, IT'S A ROOM OF MY OWN!!!
3. A new semester begins. Hate to cut the holidays short, even if it's a two - month holiday.
4. Singing 'A Hard Day's Night' everyday for the rest of July. Less sleep, more traveling time, more stress, less food.
5. Organized COLOURS, an induction conference for juniors. Man, what an experience!
6. Had interactions with a few Deans of faculties. Board of Advisor formation, need these Deans to form a complete Board.
August
1. UNgloriously celebrated my 21st birthday. Didn't feel like celebrating at all, as I was busy running here and there the whole day. Wanting to go out for McDonald's french fries, but didn't seem to get the chance. I had a bad 21st birthday.
2. Organized CHERRIES Global Village and Kick Off. Mishaps happened during the event, but then again... I lived through it.
3. Barely make it for my quizzes. I need a tutor.
4. Attended Local Leadership Development Seminar. Things got personal... again.
5. Finished an article which was meant for a group assignment on my own. Had this feeling of being cheated by group mates. Oh well, it's a confirmed A for this article, so who cares?
6. Feeling lost for the first time. Nope, I'm not going to explain further... Things will get personal, AGAIN!
And now... I'm back in Blogstream. Note the date: 16 August 2007.
Just one question though: Is there a road back home?
